A GOLDEN BASEBALL ‘LOSER’ NUGGET

Tony Miller, race and sports director at Golden Nugget has devised a neat futures prop for the worst team in baseball.

Currently San Diego is the favorite at 2-1 to finish with the most losses in the majors. Pittsburgh is next at 5-2, followed by AL teams Baltimore at 4-1 and Seattle at 10-1. And, if the bottom should somehow fall out on ‘A-Roid’ and the New York Yankees, you can bet the Bronx Bombers as part of the "field’ at 12-1 to finish with the worst record of the 30 teams.

CHAMPION CALGARY GREY CUP FAVORITE

Harrah’s properties have posted odds for the Grey Cup, the national championship of the Canadian Football League.

The Calgary Stampeders, defending champs, opened at 2-1. British Columbia is next at 3-1, followed by Saskatchewan at 9-2. The rest include: Montreal (4-1), Edmonton (5-1), Toronto (12-1), Winnipeg (12-1) and Hamilton (20-1). The title game is Sunday, Nov. 29 in Calgary. Opening week: July 1-3.
