Wake Forest +7 at Duke (150½)

The stat in the tease is where we feel this game lies. At 20-4 overall, Wake Forest is a perfect 13-0 when the opposition scores less than 70 points. In the first matchup at Winston Salem, the Deacons held Duke to 68 and won by 2. The rematch could very well come down to a last-second shot. At least, we’re betting on it.

Wake Forest started the season 16-0 to gain the No. 1 ranking in the nation. The Demon Deacons then felt the pressure of No. 1, going 1-3 in the next four games including losses to second division ACC foes Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and NC State. Wake has since won three of its last four, including the last two by double-digits against Florida State and the rematch with Georgia Tech.

At 21-5, Duke also enjoyed the No. 1 ranking this season. The Blue Devils started out 18-1, but are just 2-3 in their last five games. And, during that five-game span, they failed to cover the spread. Duke’s last outing was an unimpressive 76-69 win over St. John’s, one of the bottom teams in the Big East. The Blue Devils were never really in trouble against the Red Storm, but the killer instinct seen in that 41-point destruction of Maryland wasn’t there.

Duke really hasn’t been the same since losing at Cameron to North Carolina by 14 after leading by 9 at the half. The line shows the respect for Duke and its 14-1 record on its home floor. Wake will be trying to show that the earlier win over Duke wasn’t a fluke. The 150½ seems high since Wake allows around 68 points and Duke 63. WAKE.

Bonus: If you want to parlay it: WAKE / UNDER.
