HURRICANES at SENATORS (NHL)

The NHL is kicking my butt, which makes me count the days until baseball. In this matchup visiting Carolina has won three in a row while Ottawa has dropped three straight. HURRICANES.

CANUCKS at CANADIENS (NHL)

Vancouver is currently riding a four-game winning streak and has won 8 of 9. Montreal has been struggling, but may have turned the ship after a home win over Ottawa. Plus, Vancouver could be road weary. CANADIENS... Bonus: Lightning.

2 FOR TUESDAY Mark Mayer... last week: 2-2, 2009 record: 11-10

PISTONS at HEAT (NBA)

Miami much better at home (18-10) than the road (11-16). The Heat lost 93-90 at Detroit so there’s the revenge factor. The Pistons have both lost and failed to cover their last 6. Miami could give 4. HEAT.

LAKERS at THUNDER (NBA)

Oklahoma City may be 13-43, but this is spread covering fool at 32-23-1. The Thunder played the Lakers tough recently in LA, losing by 7. The Lakers gave 9½ at Minnesota and won by 3. Could be 8-10 here. THUNDER... Bonus: Cavs (-14 to 16).
