Bugs Henderson stars in Boulder Blues Series

The popular free Boulder Blues Series, featuring some of the country’s best blues entertainers, continues from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., on Thursdays at Boulder Station’s Railhead.

Texas guitar slinger Bugs Henderson kicks off the month with a June 7 appearance at The Railhead. Continually compared to the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lonnie Mack and Danny Gatton, Henderson has been called “a national treasure” and “an absolute master of the modern blues guitar genre.” His style, although rooted in the blues, includes elements of rock ”˜n’ roll, rhythm ”˜n’ blues, country, boogie and rockability, with a little surf rock thrown in just for fun. And, as one critic observes, “Fun is a big chunk of what Bugs is all about.”
