SANTA ANITA

Race 1

No. 2 Distorted Love gets lasix for his second start and has worked fast since his last race. No. 4 Gumption exits the same race as Distorted Love, she was well bet in her first start and will be the one to fear most down the stretch. No. 5 Ride Me Fast is fast, she should run Ellie A Gent into the ground but will have to hold off the top two. 2-4-5

Race 2

No. 3 Uffizi has been running exclusively on the grass, he is now put on the pro ride and Mitchell sends him 1¼, Mitchell is great with horses going in these elongated races and this guy looks first or second. The price play may be No. 6 Woodland Flood who comes off a nice win and has the looks of a horse on the uptick and one that will go this far. 3-6

Race 3

Of the ones that have run they all stink except for No. 1 Figo who at least has speed, he is the one to catch even with the apprentice Denise Williams in the irons looking for her first win. All signs point to the first time starter No. 5 Deluxe Cat, jockey Alex Solis has been riding like his old self lately and his one time main man Bruce Headley has been using him once again, he showed a sharp work on March 1 and looks ready to roll. 1-5

Race 4

No. 7 Royal Seal who is looking for the hat trick and No. 8 Fado both look to get a perfect setup with all the early speed lined up. 7-8

Race 5

No. 2 Proud Garrison is in top form and just does not run any bad races, No. 3 Homemade Brew drops trying to cash and the shorter distance can only help her cause, No. 7 Perfect Star could light up the tote and No. 8 Tuscan Princess could run them all down late at what would be a nice price. 2-3-7-8

No. 2 Storm Brace gets a huge rider upgrade and looks very tough in this spot, No. 1 Searchforthetruth is back in town and jockey Mike Smith won with this guy two times in the past, trainer Gilchrist don’t ship unless he thinks he can win. 1-2

No. 4 Brought It comes off our HTW list, she was a re-claim by trainer Monteleone who lost her for 16k but claimed her back for 25k, he must really like this girl. No. 5 Suziqcutie turns back to a better distance and finds a weaker crew. 4-5

No. 5 You Wood drops back to seven furlongs a distance that he just did miss by a nostril one race back. No. 6 Barney Bass is a second time starter who was eliminated at the start in his last race and his trainer is much better with second time starters. No. 7 Domestic Brew exits our HTW list and was just came flying late in his first start and looks set for a big effort. 5-6-7

No. 1 Maria’s Cat shipped in from Santa Anita and blitzed a bunch of 8k maiden claimers, No. 6 Alley K’Kats will sit and pounce.1-6

Race 2

There is enough speed in here to set it up for either No. 3 Alex And Me or No. 4 Prime Ruler. 3-4

No. 1 Huzyurhucklerry gets a boost in class after a good run in his first start and at 10/1 on the morning line we will use him. No. 6 Dial Four Peace ships in from Santa Anita for trainer Doug O’Neill and will be on the front end, catch him to win. No. 7 Lucky Bet actually won a race here two back but was DQ, Baze says he will get the job done. 1-6-7

Race 5

No. 2 Scandalous exits our Santa Anita HTW list, he was claimed for 32k by Jerry Hollendorfer and now shows up here for 16k all is not right or Mr. J is playing a little poker. No. 4 Hexbreaker is another that drops off a nice race, he has speed and will be there from start to finish. No. 6 Tango Mango exits the same race as Hex and is a nine time winner and a must use. No. 8 Follows None looked good winning his last after shipping in from Santa Anita and at 15/1 we will use him as he may be making a big late run. 2-4-6-8

Race 6

In this 20k maiden claimer we have just three that have met the starter and then five first time starters, we will watch and make notes for another day.

Race 7

No. 1 Mark Of A Pirate broke slow in his last and had too much ground to make up, with a good break he will go much better today. No. 5 Moondog Mayne won like a good thing at first asking and may be able to compete with these and at 15/1 the price is right. No. 7 Tijuana Tuesday got hooked early in his last start and just may sit a little longer today.

No.3 Jordon Bloom is a stranger in town for trainer Miyadi, No. 7 He’s In Charge looks ready to pop, catch him to win. 3-7
