SANTA ANITA

Race 1

In this 75k maiden claimer we have three first time starters and three hoses that have run that all have speed -- we will take the El Paso route.

Race 2

No. 2 Push Send has the bottom drop out and it looks like giveaway time for this 5yo gelding who must have some big time problems. No. 3 Cajun Corredor has some early speed that may play well with this group. No. 5 Squire Trelawny doesn’t like to win but has five seconds and three thirds and just one win from 12 lifetime starts; he will be making his belated move once again. No. 6 Craig’s Storm shows up in this spot for the sneaky Frank Monteleone, he could wake up big time with the drop in class and Rosario jumping on board. 2-3-5-6

Key Play

$1 tri box 2-3-5-6 for $24

Race 3

Let’s take a shot at the pick six today as the fields are short and have little value, in here we will use No. 1 Red Alarm who may appreciate the added distance in start #2. No. 7 Lucky Spell drops into this maiden claimer, and she will like the softer company. No. 8 Red Hot Charlotte will go better today in her second start for Mike Mitchell. 1-7-8

Race 4

No. 2 Shebang is dropped below her claimed price as Hollendorfer looks to recoup some of his investment. No. 5 Toll Road has speed and is dropped off the Mike Mitchell claim but Mr. Mike loves to win with this move. No. 8 Asian Eyes has been claimed from her last two races but jockey Bejarano sticks. 2-5-8

Race 5

No. 4 Cachuma Kid and No. 10 Ale’s Pride both exit the same race and both should take to the grass. 4-10

Race 6

No. 1 Hasty Trend has speed the rail and Gomez, No. 4 Joe Carl is sharp and gets his first start off the Hollendorfer claim and his five furlong work on March 9 says that he is ready of a big effort. 1-4

Race 7

The lightly raced and highly regarded No. 6 Temple City is bred in the purple for the grass and we will make him a single. 6

Race 8

No. 1 Raise Again drops to where she belongs and the jockey who won with her is back on board. No. 7 If Not For You is another who drops to where she belongs, she gets off the turf and back on the main. 1-7
