GOLDEN ROCKETSHIP: Had not been seen since last July at Hollywood Park. She took all the money today and blitzed these by more than five lengths while being under a hard hold late. This one will move up and beat winners in next start.

COMEANDCATCHME: This was a race that if you looked at the double payoffs you would have made a bet on this girl at 69-1. She drew off in the stretch like something good paying $140 on the win end, but the double paid only $147 for a $2 bet with a $7.20 winner the previous race. The parlay would have paid $434.

LAHCOTAH: We released this guy here on the website last Feb. 19, but he had trouble and ran fourth at a big price. He came back in this race and really ran super. He was up forcing the pace, dropped back on the turn but came on with a four-wide rally to get the win paying $33.40. He may repeat.

GALLANT SON: Just loved this guy in the 30th Running of the Pasadena going one mile on the grass. He got a huge rider upgrade to Solis, who gave him the perfect ride at an $18.20 winning price. The key here was that you could have hit the trifecta and superfecta as the three horses that ran behind him all came out of the same race with him on Feb 16. The $1 tri paid $955.00 and the $1 super paid $4,057.40.

RAINGEAR: Has found new life since being switched to the lawn. He is a must use if kept on the green.

COLONEL COURTNEY: Showed high speed as he shot right to the front. He battled down on the inside and the entire length of the stretch. Had to settle for show dough, but was claimed by high percentage trainer Kathy Walsh. She doesn’t claim many so you have to take notice and give this one a big shot next out. $$$

BET ON VICTOR: Was last seen running at Hawthorne Park in December. He showed up here for trainer Cerin and was sent off as the lukewarm favorite. Ran a big race, but could not chase down the lone speed.

MIDNIGHT CRUSH: Got bogged down on the inside and swung out for room. Made a big run. but was late. If this guy gets an outside post in his next start take a big shot.

MADEO: Was eased last time out and put on the vets list. He came off the list and looked like his old self winning with ease.

GREEN CARD JAMES: Was last seen running third at Fairplex last September. He showed up for trainer Craig Dollase and sent off at .40 cents on the dollar in this 20K maiden claimer. He won by nine and it could have been more. There were no claims and Craig got away with one. Look for the move to a starter allowance race and another score. $$$$$

MCMURTRY: Won in fine fashion with a lot left. He was claimed by Lloyd Mason, who does excellent work first off the claim. Look for the move up and a quick return on the investment for his new owners. $$$
