In a sneak preview for the media, George Maloof unveiled his new Palms Hotel as an entertainment-oriented “boutique” resort designed to appeal to a locals clientele.
The 400-room hotel, which is scheduled to open in December, will feature designer restaurants such as the Buddha Bar from Paris and Nine steak house from Chicago.
There will also be a rooftop French restaurant, and a three-level nightclub that will be on the cutting edge of interactive, mixed-media entertainment.
“We want to have something here for everyone,” said Maloof, owner of the Sacramento Kings NBA team and former owner of the Fiesta Hotel in Las Vegas.
Other amenities include a 14-screen movie theater, race and sports book with drive-up teller, poker room, live keno lounge and a tropical pool and recreation area.
