Race 1

Two of the six entered have run in this 50k maiden claimer, No. 2 Maniscalco looks bets of the first time starters with a sharp 5 furlong work on March 22, No. 3 Sunday Paper looks best of the two that have run and gets back to the main and back sprinting. 2-3

Race 2

No. 2 Droumeragh looks live a live wire for trainer Mullins, No. 5 Position A showed high speed as a 2yo and may even be faster as a 3yo. 2-5

Race 3

No. 2 Turbo Call takes a big drop in class, all is not right but if he still has three legs he can beat these. No. 3 Let’spickupthepace drops off the claim but his has speed and Bejarano stays. 2-3

Race 4

No. 2 New York Baby showed good speed when sent this 7 furlong distance, No. 8 Hurley’s Way just did miss at this 7 furlong distance and No. 9 Olympic Magic may like this elongated sprint. 2-8-9

Race 5

No. 1 Kewen has hit the board nine out of 10 times at this flat mile distance on the grass, this hard hitting 9yo gelding gets the services of Channing Hill who has moved his tact from New York to California, he is the one to beat. No. 8 Mr. Katz has had little or no success here at Santa Anita but now drops and gets Rosario in the irons. 1-8

Race 6

No. 2 Ale’s Pride a 4yo filly may have found a field she can beat, she gets back on the pro ride after a failed attempt on the grass and gets back to the 6½ furlong distance that she just did miss by a nose one race back. No. 4 Irridescent Red has speed and may not stop today. 2-4

Race 7

No. 2 Raingear exits our HTW list, he has found a home on this 6½ furlong turf course but will get a gut check today. No. 8 Liberian Freighter has been facing much tougher, No. 9 Medzendeekron is in top form and will get the perfect trip with Rosario from his outside post. 2-8-9

Race 8

This is one of the poorest GR III races that you could find, there are only six fillies sign on to run in this 100k 6½ furlong sprint and trainer Jeff Mullins has two, No. 2 Empressive Lady and the undefeated Turf Paradise invader No. 4 Carlsbad. 2-4

Race 9

No. 2 Renegade Storm was very eager to go last time out off the layoff but the jock strangled him down and when he finally let him loose it was too late. He now gets the services of Bejarano and there looks to be enough speed to set up his closing kick. 2

Race 1

No. 3 Refinery gets his fourth start this month and all have been good, he still must be feeling good. No. 5 Direct Connect will be the late threat. 3-5

Race 2

No. 5 Track Majesty ships and drops, No. 7 Most Popular is the one to beat. 5-7

Race 3

No. 1 Sax will get a great stalking trip, No. 3 One More Week exits the same race as Sax and will try and get that one late. 1-3

Race 4

No. 4 Velvet Slipper looks live at first asking in a sorry field. No. 7 Beau Tiful Slew has had a lot of chances but has some speed and today might be the day. 4-7

Race 5

No. 8 Schanera is a first time starter out of the Moger barn and he has been none to pop with some big price first time starter. No. 9 Skimpy drops and gets Baze, he will be a short price. 8-9

Race 6

No. 3 Arnone has some speed and that is what usually wins these races, he gets his second start for trainer Martin and gets a jockey change to Schvaneveldt who just may sit off the early pace and pounce in the stretch. 3

Race 7

No. 2 Gloria Jeanne had a nice win off the layoff and looks spotted perfectly for another big try. No. 6 Miss Sought After looks back in form off her narrow miss last time out, No. 9 Mia Angelina won at first asking and fits here. 2-6-9

Race 8

No. 5 Dewey’s Special makes his first start off a long layoff and shows up in this claim proof starter race. No. 6 Skimmy won his last and could repeat. 5-6

No. 2 Militarydressblues has run back-to-back good races, No. 4 Boot The Boss ran with one of this years Kentucky Derby favorites I Want Revenge last October when 6th of 14, he just worked fastest of 52 on March 24th, he could win for fun. No. 7 Sum Platinum Union is trained by Morey who is in partnership with one of my old favorite trainers Brent Sumja. 2-4-7
