The Nevada Gaming Control Board has signed off on the sale of Si Redd's Oasis casino, hotel and spa in Mesquite.

Randy Black Sr. who already owns two of Mesquite's four major gaming properties, was identified as the buyer in a published report.

The report said Black will pay $31 million for the Oasis.

Black told the board he will spend $5 million to upgrade the 1,068-room hotel.

The sale now goes to the state Gaming Commission for final approval. The commission is expected to hear the details at its June 21 meeting.
