The Florida Marlins are primed for a road sweep of the Atlanta Braves.
Florida Marlins +115 at Atlanta Braves (8½ total) :
The Marlins are doing just about everything right, and it wouldn’t be prudent to bet against them. They’re hitting the ball well and Atlanta starter Kenshin Kawakami hasn’t been overpowering. He might be roughed up early in this spot. Moreover, Braves’ third baseman Chipper Jones might not play (due to a thumb injury) and the lackluster line-up can ill afford to be without Jones. Florida right-hander Anibal Sanchez has pitched well so far this season, although he’s yet to gain a decision. Look for the Marlins to prevail in this contest, which should be relatively high scoring, making OVER 8½ a good play as well.
