The Insider by Ray Poirier | Joe Greff, chief gaming analyst with JP Morgan, has upgraded the shares of Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) from "neutral" to "overweight."

Looking to generate some cash to assist it with its debt burden, Station Casinos Inc. has elected to sell some real estate holdings, including the former site of the Showboat Hotel/Casino on Boulder Highway in Las Vegas.

Bartenders and beverage servers at Foxwoods Resorts Casino in Connecticut have voted against joining the United Food and Commercial Workers Union. The vote was 207 to 133.

Famed chef Emeril Lagasse will open "Emeril’s Chop House" at the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on May 22.
