THIS WEEK’S PROJECTIONS

CAN BLUE JAYS FLY?: Toronto starts the week in first place in the AL East and has a favorable schedule. The Jays begin a 3-game series on Tuesday at home against Texas, then visit Chicago for 3 against the White Sox beginning Friday. The Jays have not lost back-to-back games. Play OVER in Rangers series and Roy Halladay for possibly 2 starts.

DODGERS CAN FLEX: Manny Ramirez (.308, 2 HR, 7 RBI) and LA head to Houston and Colorado this week with a chance to open a little space in the NL West. The Dodgers have gotten off to a nice 10-3 start exclusively against division teams. Houston is just 4-7 and not the team of past years. And the Rockies don’t appear to be the team that won the 2007 NL pennant, especially without Matt Holliday. The Dodgers leave LA on an 8-game winning streak. As hot as LA is, a 4-2 road trip is definitely attainable.
