Internet pro named to Station’s board of directors

Local e-business leader Timothy N. Poster has been elected to the board of directors of Station Casinos Inc. Poster is the founder and former president of Las Vegas Reservation Systems and, a hotel reservation services company.

He was named in 2001 as "E Leader of the Year" by the Internet Business Alliance of Nevada and is a member of IBAN’s Internet Hall of Fame. He is also a member of the Nevada State E-Government Committee.

He succeeds R. Hal Dean, who resigned from Station’s board on May 22.

Park Place Entertainment has named Steven Bell senior vice president, human resources. Bell is responsible for all corporate employee-related matters, including recruitment, training, development, benefits and compensation.

Bell formerly was senior vice president, human resources, for Teligent, a telecommunications and Internet services company.

Continuing its reshuffling of top executives, has elevated Allen Winder to the chief operating officer’s post. He previously was senior vice president of worldwide field operations. Winder succeeds Shawn McGhee,who retains his position as president.

Gen. Paul A. Harvey, who guided the Mississippi Gaming Commission as executive director from 1993 through 1998, has been named to the board of Riviera Holdings Corp. Harvey is a 32-year veteran of the Air Force. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Signature Works Inc., the largest employer of blind and visually impaired people in the world.
