2 FOR TUESDAY Richard Saber...last week: 0-3, 2009:

NATIONALS AT PHILLIES (4:05 p.m. PT)

Last week I noted the Marlins had the best record in baseball at 11-1 then poisoned them with 6 straight losses. So it’s off to Philly where ace Cole Hamels (pictured) should rebound vs John Lannan. PHILS.

ASTROS at REDS (4:10 p.m. PT)

Cincinnati is off to a nice start in part to Aaron Harang. The Reds righty has a fine 2.20 ERA thus far. Houston lefty Wandy Rodriguez is even better at 1.80, but he’s 1-2 and far worse on the road. Plus, the Astros are 7-12. REDS. Bonus: KC Royals.

2 FOR TUESDAY Mark Mayer... last week: 3-0, 2009:

YANKEES at TIGERS (4:05 p.m. PT)

The return of Phil Hughes to the Yanks rotation and boy does NY need a good outing! It may not come here as Curtis Granderson and Miguel Cabrera are hitting a ton. Ex-Rays P Edwin Jackson has been a nice pickup. TIGERS.

CARDINALS at BRAVES (4:10 p.m. PT)

Kyle Lohse is again off to a strong start (2-0, 2.37 ERA) for St. Louis. Atlanta pitcher Jo Jo Reyes (0-1, 7.94 ERA) is just 3-6 with a 6.00 ERA lifetime at Turner Field. Plus Pujols, Ludwick and the Cards are hitting. CARDS...Bonus: Seattle Mariners.
