I Want Revenge was installed as the morning line favorite at 3-1 for 135th running of the Kentucky Derby, set for Saturday at Churchill Downs.

Also given solid support by linesmaker Mike Battaglia were Dunkirk and Pioneerof the Nile, each of which was assigned odds of 4-1.

Friesan Fire, which has yet to run beyond 1 1/16 miles, was tabbed at 5-1.

A field of 20 horses were assigned post positions today in ceremonies at Churchill Downs.

A couple of late withdrawals – Square Eddie and Win Willy – opened the door to two newcomers, Atomic Rain and Nowhere to Hide. Each was assigned morning line odds of 50-1.

After the assigning of post positions, Battaglia said the posts did little to change his morning line odds.

"We’ve seen horses win from the inside posts as well as the outside," he said.

The only horse that moved up in his hierarchy this week was Pioneerof the Nile, which Battaglia said looked well handling the dirt track.
