Rays -230 vs Orioles (9½)
The Rays won their very first series of the season, taking 3 of 4 from the Boston Red Sox. In Sunday’s 5-3 victory, Carl Crawford tied a major league record with six stolen bases. So Crawford will be in a running mood should he get on base. And that could happen a few times against Baltimore starter Adam Eaton, who has a 7.17 ERA.
The Orioles draw lefty Scott Kazmir, who despite a 3-2 record still hasn’t found his form. Kazmir has a 5.40 ERA with walks being his main problem. But Kaz is 5-3 lifetime against the Birds. The Rays may be ready for a nice run that saw them post the best home record in the majors last year. Catching the O’s down is a good start. The -230 price is steep, so we’ll give the 1½ runs against Eaton. RAYS -1½.
