Dawson-Tarver Debut New Joint
The Hard Rock becomes the latest Las Vegas resort to hit national TV in boxing this Saturday at the Joint as Chad Dawson takes on Antonio Tarver. "We would like to attract HBO, Showtime and Versus (VS) networks to showcase the newer and bigger version of the Joint," said Paul Davis, the Hard Rock’s entertainment director. The Joint seats about 2,900 with ticket prices for Dawson-Tarver ranging from $35 up to $250.
The Preakness Could Use Rachel
Rachel Alexandra wins the Kentucky Oaks by 20½ lengths and she’s not nominated for the Triple Crown! Saving this filly for the Breeders’ Cup against Zenyatta is a disservice to the sport. Imagine how great the Preakness would be in 2 weeks if this powerhouse gal goes to Pimlico. "It will be one great showdown with Zenyatta," Vic Vivio, racing guru at Palace Station, said on a local radio show after Rachel’s win. "What she did was jaw-dropping."
