This Week’s Projections

RIVALRY WEEK : It’s the old and the new for Red Sox Nation. Boston heads to Yankee Stadium after sweeping New York at Fenway last week. Later in the week, the Red Sox return home for the third series in a month with the Rays. Boston is 10-2 at home, but just 5-8 on the road. The Red Sox are 7-5 in their last 12. We project at worst 3-3 this week, at best 5-1.

LIFTOFF FOR HOUSTON? The Astros have a chance to escape the NL Central cellar with a favorable schedule. Houston opened the week on the road Monday against Washington, owners of the worst record in the majors. The Astros then return to Minute Maid Park to face preseason division pick Chicago. We would recommend playing Houston lefthander Wandy Rodriguez against the Cubs. Wandy is killer at home and starting to win on the road.
