Race 2 -- #1 Speight The Halo - Was last seen going off as the 7-5 chalk over I Want Revenge at Del Mar last year. He looked so very good, but could not run down the other comebacker. Next time.

Race 3 -- #1 Kilderry - Was down on the rail in this 6½ furlong downhill turf sprint at Santa Anita. Just got out too late as the winner had the jump. Could have been a prep for a longer one at Hollywood.

Race 6 -- #5 Lahcotah - We released this guy here on the website last Feb. 19, but he had trouble and ran fourth at a big price. He came back in this race and really ran super. He was up forcing the pace, dropped back on the turn but came on with a four-wide rally to get the win paying $33.40. He may repeat.

Race 6 -- #10 Turkish Victory - Was last seen running at Hollywood last May. He was really eager to run as he sped to an early lead in the 6½ furlong downhill sprint, but hopped when crossing the main track and that may have cost him.

Race 6 -- #11 My Man Sumo - Was last seen at Fairplex back in September, but came back running and blitzed a crew of 32K maiden claimers. Look for him to show up in one of those claim proof starter races at Hollywood in the very near future.

Race 9 -- #7 Holladay Road - Sitting on the maiden breaker going long on the grass and may have been best if not getting stuck on the rail with no place to go. He swung out for room, but had to be checked off heels past midstretch. Rallied to just miss the place, losing the whole enchilada by less than a length. $$$$$

Race 7 -- #6 Reuccio - First time starter had no shot at the runaway winner, but was clear of the rest. If able to clear early in next start, he will be long gone.
