2 FOR TUESDAY Richard Saber...last week: 2-0, 2009: 22-30

CARDINALS AT PIRATES (4:05 p.m. PT)

The Pirates have lost their last 8 and run into the division leading Cardinals. Todd Wellmeyer is off a 5-2 win over Pittsburgh last week in St. Louis. In May 2008, Todd was 4-0 with a 2.19 ERA. CARDS.

PADRES at CUBS (5:05 p.m. PT)

The Cubs are glad to be back at Wrigley Field, especially against a slumping San Diego team that has lost its last 3. Jake Peavy (2-4, 4.27) is not near his past Cy Young form, while Rich Harden (3-1)(pictured) is finally giving Chicago some innings. CUBS.

2 FOR TUESDAY Mark Mayer... last week: 2-0, 2009: 31-22 (.585)

WHITE SOX AT INDIANS (4:05 a.m. PT)

Mark Buehrle (pictured) is 5-0 for the first time in his distinguished Chicago career. But the Indians are the only team in the AL Central that has a winning record (12-9) against him. Cleveland’s Jeremy Sowers has a 12.60 ERA! OVER.

RAYS AT ORIOLES (4:05 p.m. PT)

In his last two starts, Andy Sonnanstine has beaten the Red Sox and should have beaten the Yankees had the bullpen not blown it. O’s lefty Mark Hendrickson (1-4, 5.13 ERA) is the reason Tampa signed Pat Burrell. RAYS...Bonus: BREWERS.
