Paul Anka: a Grand show

Paul Anka, a legend in the music industry whose accomplishments transcend five decades, will take the stage at the MGM Grand nightly at 9 p.m. Thursday through July 4 (dark June 24, 27 and July 23) in the intimate 740-seat Hollywood Theatre.

Tickets are $60 and can be purchased at any MGM Grand ticketing outlet.

Anka’s musical compositions are internationally known and have been recorded by the greatest names in the entertainment industry. He has achieved unprecedented success in every venue: stage, screen, television, and recording. Having written such classics as “My Way” for Frank Sinatra, “She’s a Lady” for Tom Jones and the theme from “The Tonight Show” for Johnny Carson, Anka’s career spans five decades of timeless music credits for writing, singing and composing.

At 16 years of age Anka enjoyed his first taste of success with his hit song, “Diana.” Over 40 years later, this song is still a favorite among his many fans. Before he turned 18, Anka had five Top-20 hits including “Put Your Head On My Shoulder,” “You Are My Destiny,” “Lonely Boy” and “Puppy Love.” Now with more than 900 songs to his credit, Anka revels in his timeless musical career as he celebrates the success of his 125th album, Anka Live 2000.
