EXCALIBUR HORSE CONTEST NOW JUNE 4

The Excalibur will move next month’s Win And Quinella horse racing contest from Wednesday, June 3 to Thursday, June 4. The switch was due to Hollywood Park not having Wednesday racing during the current meet. The contest has a guaranteed pool of $1,000 with the top 5 finishers guaranteed money. Entries are $25 each (limit 3) and customers can bet any 6 of the 8 races. The Excalibur contest involves Southern California tracks.

MAYWEATHER-MARQUEZ TICKETS ON SALE

MGM Grand is now selling tickets ranging from $150 to $1,000 for the July 18 bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez. Mayweather (39-0, 25 knockouts) makes his first appearance in the ring since Dec. 8, 2007 when he stopped Ricky Hatton in the 10th round. Marquez (50-4-1, 37 KO) fought Manny Pacquiao to a draw and a close split decision loss. Mayweather opened at more than a 4-1 favorite in most Las Vegas books.
