Mandalay Bay announced that music legend Paul Simon on tour with Brian Wilson will perform one night only, Friday, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. The concert is at 8 p.m.

Paul Simon is considered one of the most talented songwriters and durable pop-music icons in history. Simon is best known for his collaboration with legend Art Garfunkel in the duo, Simon and Garfunkel in the late 1960’s. During his time, Simon was responsible for writing, arranging and recording the duet’s classic folk and rock songs. After his departure from the duo Simon released several albums including: “Graceland” and “Rhythm of the Saints,” both achieving multi-platinum status.

Joining Simon will be Brian Wilson, co-founder of The Beach Boys, and one of rock’s most deeply revered performers of some of the most cherished music in rock history. Wilson and The Beach Boys were awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Grammy Awards. Wilson’s new double CD “Live at the Roxy” was recorded during two sold-out performances in L.A.
