NBA: East final (Game 4)
5:35 p.m. PT at Orlando
Cavaliers -1½ at Magic (187½)
The zig-zag theory worked like a charm last night with Denver easily covering and now it’s Cleveland’s turn. Orlando owns a 2-1 lead in the series and has covered all three games as underdogs. Despite losing Game 3 by 10, the Cavaliers are favored again and by the same 1½-point line from Sunday’s loss. Cleveland had been 11-0-1 against the spread prior to the Magic series.
Clearly Orlando presents matchup problems, having won four of the six meetings this season. Cleveland’s game plan is finding someone (aka Mo Williams) to step up and take some of scoring load off LeBron James. A loss here and most everyone jumps off the Cavalier bandwagon. Look for Mo to come through and send this series back to Cleveland all square. CAVALIERS.
