by Ray Poirier | Seems that someone at NCAA headquarters forgot, or never knew, that sports betting is legal in Montana, although it generally is confined to fantasy sports leagues.

That’s why the University of Montana was able to host football playoff games last season.

No more, said NCAA officials.

After admitting an "administrative oversight," an NCAA spokesperson stated, "We’ve taken steps to make sure it doesn’t happen again."

Apparently, the people running NCAA became aware of Montana’s exclusion from a congressional sports betting ban because of the recent publicity involving Delaware’s recent decision to begin sports wagering this fall.

Result: No more playoff games in Montana!
