I SWEAR: John Sadler trainee ran huge off the maiden breaker despite a wide trip the entire 1 1/16 distance. He made a resolute run down the lane and was one of three heads on the wire.

MINNIE’S BOY: Just ran huge at 14-1 off a little layoff as he looked like the winner in the stretch only to get collared late. He may have needed this race. Look for a quick return and a trip to the winner’s circle.

CARMAN: Hadn’t been seen since last year at Del Mar. May have been best in this 6 furlong turf sprint, but got stuck down on the rail. Once clear he came on strong and just did miss the place by a nostril.

PLASMA BEAM: First time starter showed high speed but could not outrun the 6-5 Hiya Silver. This guy will be one tough customer on the front end in his next start. $$$$$

FORTY DATES: Was last seen running second at Hollywood Park back in October. She came back in this claim proof starter allowance race and cruised home for an easy win with a lot left in the tank. She has the looks of a repeater.

BISHOP OF DERRY: First time starter out of the Neil Drysdale barn took some money at the betting windows. Was far back after a slow start, but came on strong to just miss the show dough. Comes through next time with a better break.

MINUTE LIMIT: Euro shipper had not met the starter since last October. She made one huge run, but just did come up short of running down the lone speed by the shortest of noses. This girl can run and will be tough next time out. $$$$$

CALL ME DUTCHESS: First time starter made a nice late run finishing second almost three lengths clear of the rest in 14-horse field. She has some run in her.

SENOR AFORTUNADO: Is improving and just sitting on a win. All he needs is a race with some pace to get home on top.

ERINS CAJUN: First time starter had a ton of early trouble, but stormed home to win going away. Has the looks of a good one for Mason.

DEVIL CIELO: Had a very wide trip, but had a good finishing rally. Go with him next time at a good price.

WHISTLE STOP: Was let go at 36-1, but ran a much better than looked race. Could pop at a big price next time out.

ADAYFORPICKNDAISYS: Bad luck filly continues in top form and with a slight drop in class will get the maiden breaker.

SUSHIWOOD: Had been overdue for some luck and got the good trip he was looking for on the grass. Came home for the win paying a nice price. Look for this guy to move up and repeat.

LONELY AND FREE: Turf Paradise shipper ran a winning race but just could not run down the winner, next time. $$$$$
