Yanks -220 vs Mets (10½)

Let’s take a shot with a big underdog that doesn’t warrant this line. Livan Hernandez is 5-1 with a 3.88 ERA and the Mets have won five times in his eight most recent starts. The one thing Hernandez will give you is innings, which a struggling Mets bullpen can certainly use. Joba Chamberlain may be 3-1 with a respectable 3.79 ERA, but you never know how long he can last.

A key in this game will be how Hernandez deals with Alex Rodriguez. A-Rod has a .625 career average in 16 at bats with four homers and four doubles. Still the Mets are certainly worth a shot at this inflated price, especially with the Yanks having just been swept at Boston. METS.

. Bonus selections: Rockies (MLB) -140, Penguins (NHL) +170.
