Giants -140 vs A’s (7½)
Taking the first two of their Bay Area Series, the Giants are five games over .500 for the first time in some five years. San Francisco is doing it with pitching, having allowed four runs or less in 10 of the last 11 games. The Giants are also winning at AT&T Park, going 7-1 in their last 8 home contests.
And, the Giants are in a strong position to pull off the sweep sending righty Matt Cain and his 8-1 record to the hill. Cain is enjoying the best success in his career, having won his last six decisions. Oakland pitches 21-year-old Brett Anderson, who is 3-6 with a 5.25 ERA. The -140 price seems light. GIANTS.
Almost as good:NY Mets +110 (with Santana), St.L-Cleveland UNDER 7½
