Angels -115 vs Giants (8½)
Had this been last year or even two years ago, we would have jumped at taking John Lackey at -115 over Barry Zito. But not now. Lackey is just 1-2 with a 6.61 ERA and has not been right since coming off surgery. Zito, while just 3-6, had received the lowest run support in the National League until the Giants scored a whopping 5 runs in his last start.
San Francisco’s pitching staff has allowed 4 runs or less in 11 of their last 12 games. The Giants are also 9-1 in their last 10 at AT&T Park, including a 3-game sweep of Oakland. The Angels are off a 3-game sweep of San Diego. GIANTS.
Almost as good: Milwaukee at Cleveland OVER 9½.
