TRUEST LEGEND: Pulled the jock out of the saddle while going for the front end. He set the pace staying off the rail and then drew away down the lane while under a long hold. This guy had a lot left in the tank and could get the hat trick.

GALLATIN’S RUN: Was sent off at .80 cents on the dollar and would have won on most days. He could not hold off a very live first time starter, who came from last to first winning by a half length. Still, Gallatin’s Run was almost seven lengths clear of the rest. This guy will be a good single in his next start.

SPARKS FLYING: Was in from Churchill Downs and looked to have a good shot in this 1 1/16 turf route. She had a wide trip most of the way, splitting horses in midstretch. Had to be steadied when in tight and did not go on after that. Look for a better effort next time out and a possible visit to the winner’s circle.

PUBLIC IMAGE: Was having problems leaving the gate in his last two starts, just standing there. Trainer Doug O’Neill must have solved the problem as this guy was just hammered at the window getting bet down to even money. He shot out of the gate like a rocket ship, but just got a little tired and was beaten at the wire. He will not stop next time. $$$$$

FORTY DATES: Was exiting our HTW list and she was trying to keep intact her never being worse than second streak. Well, she kept that streak intact with a nice win on the grass paying $10.40. This girl just flat out runs her race every time.

DREAMALONG: Was another exiting our HTW list. This time her jock Alex Solis would have no part of the inside as the rail cost her the win last time out. He came five wide into the stretch and ran them down late. There is a lot of upside to his filly so just keep her on your list.

OVER ANDOVER: Just ran second to Dreamalong despite being blocked coming into the lane. She switched to the inside and then outside. Came on with a late surge getting up for the place in what was a big time effort. $$$$$

YES IT’S A CAT: Big white colt was dropping in class and getting a turnback in distance. Just looked sensational on the track and should be able to move up and repeat.

LADY ALEX: Lightly raced Benchmark filly ran better than looked in her second lifetime start. She now lands in the John Sadler barn after the 40K claim. They should get a quick return on their investment.

STARTIN FRESH: Was last seen winning at Fairplex last September and showed up here for trainer Jose Delima. She battled tooth and nail for the early lead before drawing away with ease for a nice win. This girl can motor and will be one to watch on the fair circuit.

PIERRE BEAR: First-time starter out of the O’Neill barn was stuck down on the rail the entire trip. Ran his heart out losing by a nostril. Next time.

SATURN MOON: Was chasing the pace while down on the rail. She got in tight and checked off heels into the stretch. Rallied again up the rail, but was switched out in deep stretch. Made a late surge but was just a half length short. She may have been best, but the trip did her in. This girl should pop in the very near future.

JAYDEN’S HOPE: Looked like the winner but got blocked and was steadied to a stop in midstretch. Came back and closed willingly from the inside to just miss the place by a neck in what was a good try despite the trouble.
