Poker pro wins WSOP charity event

Poker pro Alex Bolotin (center) won this year’s WSOP celebrity event, Ante-Up for Africa, which raised $362,000 for the humanitarian crisis in Darfur.

He is joined by the tournament’s co-sponsors Annie Duke and Don Cheadle.

The field of 138 players (50 more than last year) included many celebrities and sports stars, including Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Charles Barkley and Cedric the Entertainer.

Bolotin collected $177,730 for first place; he donated half of his cash winnings, $88,865, to Ante-Up for Africa.
