JCC Holding Company announced that its board of directors won’t retain its president and chief executive officer, Fred Burford, after his contract expires Dec. 31.

JCC owns Harrah’s New Orleans Casino, the only land-based casino in Louisiana. The company in March was bailed out by the state legislature, which rewrote state taxes and licensing laws to keep the casino operating.

Paul Debban, a director on the board, will replace Burford as president, subject to approval by Louisiana regulators.
