Race 2 -- #2 Cactus Flyer - First time starter was bet down to the 8/5 chalk in 25k maiden claimer. She dueled for the lead while inside horses, then drifted out and battled wide midway on the turn. She fell back and looked done but was coming on late and just did miss the place while six lengths better than the rest. This girl was claimed by top trainer John Sadler for his best clients Gary and Cecil Barber and he just may be pointing her to the Del Mar meet as the brothers Barber like to vacation there. $$$$$

Race 3 -- #6 Hiho Geronimo - Was inside then outside on the backstretch. Swung out further on the second turn and went four wide into the stretch. Was flat out tired from his early roaming around the course. This guy will be a great play in his next start as he gets a huge barn switch. $$$$$

Race 6 -- #9 Earstoyou - Was shipped in from Churchill Downs for Bob Hess Jr. She took some action, ran them down in the lane and won going away. This girl may be able to go long on the grass and has the look of a good one for Hess.

Race 7 -- #5 Lunada Bay - First time starter ran a winning race but could not run down the 8/5 chalk. However, he was clear of the rest at 20/1. You won’t see that price next time, but you will see this guy in the winners circle in the very near future. $$$

Race 9 -- #5 Santamonicacanyon - This horse exited a race in which Dapper Gene actually finished in front of Santamonicacanyon. Dapper Gene was sent off at 36/1 and Canyon was sent off at 4/1. What happened? Dapper won and paid $74.80! The exacta paid $492.60 for a $2 wager, so check those horses exiting the same race, especially if one is a big overlay.

Race 10 -- #10 Quality Plus - Just put in a super effort from post #13 in a full field of 32k maiden claimers. Battled tooth and nail the entire six furlongs just losing the place by a head. This guy has some speed, If able to clear early next time out he will be gone.
