Major League Baseball:

L.A. Dodgers at Colorado Rockies -135: The Dodgers got a much-needed win yesterday behind lefty Randy Wolf, as the Rockies continued their mediocre hitting against lefties (one game over .500). Today, L.A. sends out Vicente Padilla, recently acquired from the Texas Rangers. The right-hander had a decent record with the Rangers (8-6 with an ERA of 4.92), but did his best work on the road (4-2 with an ERA of 3.88). For Colorado, De La Rosa has been hot recently, winning his last three starts while posting an ERA of 1.55. Teams have hit him at home, however, where his ERA is 5.12. This is another "must" win for the Dodgers if they are to maintain their NL West lead. The afternoon contest might finally see some long-ball fireworks, though we’ll take a chance here that Padilla might find National League batters to his liking, as Cliff Lee did when he made the transition from Cleveland to Philadelphia. L.A. Dodgers +125, OVER 10.
