The Palazzo has taken its sports book to new heights with the opening last Friday of Lagasse Stadium, a new place to bet and watch sports and dine on custom creations from celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse.
"I am a huge sports fan, and I love to cook and tailgate with friends," Lagasse said. "At Lagasse’s Stadium, I’ve included some of my favorite game day dishes and many of the iconic foods that fans love to eat at sporting events across the country.
"Our goal was to create a unique and fun dining experience for sports fans – there’s not a bad seat in the house."
Indeed, the Stadium – which was once a split level nightclub – is a sports lover’s haven. Sports viewing walls consisting of nearly 100 high-definition screens access virtually everything happening in sports, and the comfy couches and chairs are reminiscent of an upscale club.
At the center of the stadium is a multi-level theater and dining room with stadium-style seating and cocktail tables.
Surrounding the stadium are luxury sky boxes and private boxes for fans who want to enjoy the action in privacy. The luxury boxes also have their own billiard tables and video game consoles, as well as access to a private patio.
But perhaps the best feature is a menu that will make fans quickly forget typical "stadium food" such as hot dogs and popcorn.
Among Lagasse’s signature dishes barbecue shrimp with Rosemary flatbread, sweet barbecue salmon, ahi tuna melt, New Orleans style crab cakes, garlic roasted prime rib and baby back ribs with jalapeno cornbread.
