NFL football:

Atlanta Falcons vs. Dallas Cowboys -4½ : The bye week came at a good time for the Cowboys, who are poised to finally beat a good team. Their only wins this season came against Tampa Bay, Carolina and Kansas City. Plus, they get back receiver Roy Williams and running back Felix Jones, who were out due to injury. Atlanta was lucky to beat Chicago last week, who shot themselves in the foot with turnovers. The Cowboys should have an edge running the football as they are averaging 161 yards per game. That should set up the passing lanes for Tony Romo and company. The Dallas defense will put more pressure on Matt Ryan than he has seen this season. He has not been sacked since the third quarter of their opener against Miami, and Dallas has 10 sacks in the last three games. So far this season, teams returning after a bye have been winning at a nearly 80 percent clip. Dallas should add to that total. Cowboys -4½.
