College football:

West Virginia -3 at South Florida: This is a key game in the Big East Conference. South Florida is coming off back-to-back losses against Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, after starting the season 5-0. Although most of those wins were against inferior competition, the Bulls did hold down Florida State, 17-7. West Virginia had a nice last-minute win against Connecticut last week, 28-24, although they are just entering the meat of their Big East schedule. After tonight they face Louisville, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Rutgers. In head to head action, the Mountaineers beat the Bulls, 13-7, last season at home, but lost the previous year in Tampa, 21-13. This is only South Florida’s fourth home game, so expect a big effort. They should be competitive throughout, with a shot at eking out a win. South Florida +3
