College football:

Bowling Green at Buffalo -3 ½ (total 54): This is an interesting match-up of mid-level Mid-America Conference foes, each of them capable of hanging tough with the league leaders. Buffalo, for instance, stayed with MAC powerhouse Central Michigan, only to lose 20-13 at home. Bowling Green lost to CM by 14, but won on the road at Kent State and Ball State. In head-to-head play, Buffalo beat the Falcons on the road last year (40-34), but lost to them here two years ago. Bowling Green, in fact, won three straight before last year’s loss, by an average of 14 points/game. Tonight, look for both teams to move the ball, though Bowling Green has a slightly better defense, which should carry them to an outright victory. Although these teams have averaged 70 points over the last three meetings, they may not eclipse the 54 total tonight, so the over/under is a no play this time. Bowling Green +3½
