College football:

Miami (Ohio) at Temple -18 (total 42.5): Although Temple laying double digits seems like heresy, the Owls are enjoying one of their best seasons in decades. They just won their sixth straight game (27-24 over a solid Navy team) for the first time since 1974, and in the process became bowl eligible for the first time since 1979. Now they face one of the worst teams in the Mid America Conference (MAC), Miami of Ohio, which just won their first game of the year last week, 31-24 over Toledo. The Red Hawks were a little bit lucky in the contest as they got a late TD on an interception return. Nonetheless, Miami finally appears to have found an offense, which was sorely missing the first half of the season. Temple might be celebrating their milestone, and Miami should score enough to stay under this number. Miami-Ohio +18, with a lean to OVER 42½
