College football:

Kansas at Texas -27: The point spread may appear large, but it’s probably justified here. Kansas, after starting the season 5-0, has lost five straight, and there’s been controversy beyond the playing field with reports about the coach supposedly abusing his players. Texas, meanwhile, is on a path to the national title game if they can win out. Between the two teams, the Longhorns have dominated: they haven’t lost to the Jayhawks since 1938, and in the last three meetings at home they outscored Kansas by an average of 57-15. Texas has the nation’s No. 1 ranked defense, which should stifle the Kansas attack, while Heisman hopeful quarterback Colt McCoy puts up the points with his talented crew of players, led by receiver Jordan Shipley. Even though Texas has a short week coming up before their clash with in-state rival Texas A&M on Thursday, they’ll be focused for this contest. Texas -27.
