NFL football:

Arizona Cardinals -8½ at St. Louis Rams: The Cardinals take their high-octane offense on the road, where they’ve so far been perfect this season. Not only are they a perfect 4-0, they’ve won by an average of more than two touchdowns. The Rams looked anything like doormats last week, as they took the New Orleans Saints to the wire, and could have actually won the game if they completed a final scoring drive. But they caught the Saints in a bad spot, and the Cardinals should be ready for the Rams’ best weapon, running back Stephen Jackson, who had a field day (176 yards) against the Saints. Plus, Cardinal quarterback Kurt Warner returns to his old stomping grounds, where he orchestrated the "greatest show on turf," which was actually the last time St. Louis was a viable NFL contender. Warner is actually still beloved in the city, and should get plenty of support from the crowd. He has a stellar 25-4 record playing in the city of St. Louis, and he and his Cardinal mates should add to that figure. Arizona -8½

Other top NFL selections:

New York Giants -6½ over Atlanta

Cincinnati Bengals -9 over Oakland

San Francisco +6½ over Green Bay

New England Patriots -10½ over NY Jets
