Butler National Corp. credited the renewal of customer contracts and the introduction of new products and services as the primary reasons the company was able to return to profitability from recent losses.
During the quarter that ended on Oct. 31, the company said it posted earnings of $19,000 compared with the loss of $46,000 during the same period a year ago. Revenues, the company added, increased 9 percent to $4.4 million.
Set to open for the company on Wednesday is Kansas’ first state-owned casino, the Boot Hill Casino and Resort. The project just received its regulatory approval.
