This weekend we will see action from both the WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting) and Strikeforce.
Let's start with the WEC. The main event pits Donald Cerrone versus Ed Ratcliff at 155 lbs. Cerrone is the favorite at -500. Ratcliff is the underdog at +300.
Both of these fighters lighting quick striking ability but Cerrone has the advantage in the ground game. Look for him to take this to the ground early and get the submission.
Another fight on this card at 155lbs has Anthony Njokuani versus Chirs Horodecki. Njokuani is the favorite at -180 and Horodecki is the underdog at +150.
Although Njokuani is a proficient striker and undefeated at 6-0, I'm going to pick the more well rounded and experienced Horodecki at 13-1.
I have seen him train at Tapout and got to work a couple rounds with him in a group training. His strength and flexibility are impressive. I think this will go to the ground and he will get the submission.
Now for the Stikeforce fight. That's right, I said fight. This card seems pretty lacking. The main event at 185 lbs has the extremely entertaining Cung Le versus Scott Smith. Le is the favorite at -500 and Smith the underdog at +300.
With Le's martial arts background, I will just say, Cung Le. Enough said!
Until next week, I hope you cash some tickets.
