NEVADA POSTS SOLID GAMING WIN IN MAY

Nevada casinos raked in $844 million in May, a 5.66% increase over the $799 million gaming win reported in May 2000.

The Las Vegas Strip led all jurisdictions with $430 million, an 11.88% increase over last May’s win. The Boulder Strip also posted solid gains, up 13% to 457.7 million, while downtown revenues remained even, about $58 million, a 0.2% increase over last year.

North Las Vegas casinos suffered a 26.7% decline in revenues to $16 million, and Laughlin post a 5.04% drop in gaming win to $44.8 million.
