IP gets early start for college football

Imperial Palace unveiled its annual college football lines for 77 of the top projected games.

“It’s been a tradition here for the past five or six years to release the games in late July,” said Ed Salmons, sports book manager at the famed Las Vegas Strip hotel. “We put up the list Sunday and have already had good reaction.”

Salmons said there was early movement on Penn State during Monday’s preseason wagering.

“One guy was betting Penn State on every game,” Salmons said.

Miami 6½ over PENN ST

Sept. 8:  

WASHINGTON —1½ over Michigan

Sept. 15:  

FLORIDA STATE —14 over Ga Tech

Sept. 29:

Oct. 6:  

Michigan —4½ over PENN ST
