The Tropicana in Atlantic City was fined a total of $140,500 for three gaming violations, including one case in which a high-roller was given back a losing bet after he claimed he had been distracted by employees.

The Trop admitted the violations and agreed to pay the fines as part of a settlement with the state Casino Control Commission.

In one incident, a high-stakes blackjack player was given back his $10,000 losing bet after he complained that Tropicana’s marketing employees had distracted him while he was executing his betting strategy.
