ALABAMA COUNTY LOSES VIDEO GAMBLING

Jul 22, 2001 8:37 PM

Under threat of prosecution, business owners removed some 400 to 500 video-gambling machines from an Alabama county.

The Marshall County district attorney's office notified about 50 known owners of the machines last week that they had 72 hours to remove them.

Ronald Thompson, the county DA, said he decided to order the removal of the machines based on court rulings in other counties.
