Vegas puts heart in Valentine's

While candy and flowers are great, a romantic evening and dinner usually top the list for most couples. As the saying goes, "Nothin’ says lovin’ like somethin’ from the oven!"

Ellis Island Casino & Brewery is pleased to help lovers celebrate their special day by offering a romantic Valentine Dinner including an appetizer, lobster, soup or salad, baked potato, broccolini, a special dessert and a complimentary glass of champagne for only $24.99 per person. Serving hours are 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. By the way, stop back on President’s Day, Monday, Feb. 18 and toast our forefathers with a free EIB beer! Just swipe your Passport Player’s Club card through the kiosk to print out a voucher for a free brew!

If you can’t dine right on the holiday, The Silver Nugget Casino in North Las Vegas is offering an entire week to select a day to enjoy a special Valentine’s dinner featuring an $8.88 NY Steak and ½-lb. Crab Leg Dinner from Feb. 11-17. And for President’s Day week, Feb. 18-24, try the All American Meals, including a $5.95 Fried Chicken Special Dinner.

Maybe an evening drive to Boulder City’s Hacienda Casino might be just the romantic ticket. The Hacienda Steakhouse will be offering Chateaubriand for two, served with duchess potatoes and seasonal vegetables and including a special dessert for $54.95. You can also order from the regular menu. Reservations are recommended by calling 702-293-5000. Serving hours are from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. For an even more romantic evening, stay overnight! The hotel is offering a special room rate for Thursday, Feb. 14 for just $29.95.

The Promenade Café at the Rampart Casino in Summerlin will be serving Valentine’s Day specials for $17.99 per person from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. including a Surf and Turf special with appetizers, soup or salad, sides and dessert.

All ladies dining in Roberta’s Steakhouse at the El Cortez downtown on Valentine’s Day will receive a complimentary rose.

In honor of American Heart Month, BODIES… The Exhibition at the Tropicana Resort & Casino along with the American Heart Association are proud to offer complimentary blood pressure and stroke screenings to encourage everyone to stay heart healthy. Performed by registered nurses from St. Rose Hospital, screenings are free to Exhibition visitors and will take place in the Exhibition lobby from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16. All participants will be entered into a raffle to win great prizes, including a heart smart meal for a family of four at the Springs Cafe by Wolfgang Puck.
