Carlin sizzles at MGM Grand

Aug 6, 2001 11:43 PM

George Carlin brings his off-the-wall antics to the MGM Grand August 7- 13 at 9 p.m.

As one of America’s keenest social critics, Carlin uses razor sharp humor to point out hypocrisy in people’s actions and words. He’s honed his craft on television for more than three decades, always on the cutting edge and regularly integrating taboo subjects into his performances. Carlin is refreshingly forthright, cogently making points that few in his audience would ever dare to think much less express.

Carlin recently won his third Grammy, adding an additional accolade to his six cable Ace Awards, and five Emmy nominations. He’s released 18 comedy albums and has appeared in 10 movies.

Few comics make the transition from stage to page as smoothly as Carlin. His book “Brain Droppings” spent a total of 40 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. His latest book, “Napalm and Silly Putty” has already reached the number one spot on the New York Times bestseller list.

Catch George Carlin August 7th through the 13th at 9 p.m.
